Allens Cave in South Australia is one of Australia’s oldest rock shelters. People started using it around 40,000 years ago. By the time people arrived here they had developed outstanding skills and knowledge to live in desert conditions. This site is of cultural significance to the Mirning, Kokatha, Wirangu, Yalata and Maralinga Tjaratja people.
